Welcome to the Marine Corps Association Foundation

A Message from Major General, Ed Usher, USMC (Ret) President of the Marine Corps Association Foundation:

Thank you for your interest in the Marine Corps Association Foundation. (MCAF). I’d like to give you a short run down on the MCAF.

Established in 2009 the MCAF is the charitable foundation supporting the work of the Marine Corps Association (MCA). It raises funds from tax-deductible donations and grants to assist the MCA in providing professional growth opportunities to Commanders and their Marines. Founded in 1913 by then LtCol John A. Lejeune, the MCA is the professional association of the Marine Corps. It is dedicated to the study of military art, fostering the spirit and traditions of the Marine Corps, and furthering the interests of military and naval science.

Your donations to the MCAF provide programs, which appropriated government funds cannot, that enhance study, learning, and the recognition of individual Marine excellence in the spirit of guiding mentorship envisioned by Major General Lejeune.

Our principle programs are:

The Commanders' Unit Library Program –Provides commanders with professional libraries in their units that make professional reading and study readily accessible to their Marines.

The Commanders' Forums – Provides special events specifically tailored by commanders to enhance their Marines’ knowledge of operational art from historical, cultural or operational perspectives.

The Marine Excellence Awards – Provides awards that recognize individual Marines, and Sailors supporting Marines, for scholastic, leadership, or technical excellence.

Your support to the MCAF will recognize our great Marines and enhance their mission success in the complex world in which they operate.
