MCA Marine Week Dinner
During the week of 20-24 June 2011, the Marines invaded the city of St. Louis, Missouri as a public outreach venture to generate good will and popular support. Marines roamed the city in uniform, meeting the populace and also staged extensive equipment displays of the major ground and air weapons systems, communications equipment, logistics gear and a lot more to generate interest and had Marines on hand at each display to brief the public on capabilities and functioning.
The Marine Corps Association was on hand to support the event as well and staged the second annual MCA Marine Week Dinner on Thursday, 23 June at the Millennium Hotel near the Freedom Arch in downtown St. Louis featuring LtGen Robert E. Milstead, Jr., Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs as the guest speaker.

After Six schools, five moves, eight houses, and ten Marine deployments, sixteen-year-old Erika Booth has always managed to stay positive, strong and resilient. This 2012, Operation Homefront Marine Corps Child of the Year was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disorder, but does not let the disease stop her from energetically going on with her life. Her love of supporting and helping others is what keeps Erika going.
The Marine Corps Association & Foundation’s Marine Excellence Awards Program recognizes the professional achievements of Marines and sailors serving with Marines, with special emphasis on recognizing the honor graduates throughout the Marine Corps officer and enlisted formal schools and leadership courses.
The Marine Corps Association & Foundation hosted a social event welcoming Charlie Company, TBS Lieutenants to Quantico and to the Corps on 24 April 2012. MCA&F staff members and about 300 Second Lieutenant’s gathered together in O’Bannon Hall for an hour of camaraderie, sharing laughs and stories.
Montford Point Marines Staff Sergeant Charles Manuel Jr. USMC (Ret) and First Sergeant George Kidd, USMC (Ret) supported MCA&F by attending the 9th Annual MCA&F C4 Awards Dinner at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia on 19 April 2012.
