The Marine Corps Association Foundation coordinates up to 6 dinners annually with the Marine Corps. Moreover, MCAF holds its own Annual Dinner as well as two luncheons in the DC metro area and three luncheons at Camp Lejeune. Sponsorships are available for all of these events.
The C4 Awards Dinner (coordinated with HQMC C4): This annual event focuses on issues surrounding command, control, communications and computers and the occupational fields that directly support these areas in the Marine Corps generally and the Marine Air Ground Task Force specifically. The dinner serves as an opportunity to present a recognized expert to address C4 issues as the dinner’s guest speaker. In addition to a forum for C4 topics, the key purpose of the dinner is to provide recognition to Marines, civilians and support organizations who have made notable achievements during the year in the C4 arena.
With the support of corporate sponsors, the following awards are presented at the C4 Awards Dinner: The Gray Trophy for Outstanding Command and Control Systems Leadership, The James Hamilton Information Technology Management Civilian Marine of the Year Award, The LtCol Kevin M. Shea Memorial Award for outstanding Marine Corps C4 unit, and three PFC Herbert A. Littleton Awards.
Ground Awards Dinner: The MCAF Ground Awards Dinner is an annual event coordinated by MCAF in conjunction with HQMC, Plans, Policies and Operations (PP&O) Department and serves as the opportunity to recognize the professional achievements of each Marine Division's Marine of the Year. Additional awards presented at this dinner include the Leftwich Trophy for Outstanding Leadership which is awarded to a Marine Captain in command of a company or battery size unit, the Chambers Award for Outstanding Leadership by a company grade officer in the Marine Reserve Component and also the Hulbert Award for Outstanding Leadership by a Marine Gunner.
Ground Dinner: MCAF also coordinates a 2nd annual event with HQMC PP&O.
Combat Development Dinner: This Dinner is an annual event coordinated by MCAF in conjunction with the Marine Corps Combat Development Command (MCCDC). The dinner has a Professional Military Education focus and the theme for the dinner is Combat Development. Past speakers have included General James Mattis, Admiral Patrick M. Walsh USN, Vice Chief of Naval Operations, and LTG Lloyd Austin, USA.
The Ground Logistics Awards Dinner: This is an annual event coordinated by MCAF in conjunction with HQMC, Installations and Logistics Department and serves as the opportunity to recognize the achievements of the Corps' top performing logisticians of the previous year. Recent speakers have included General James T. Conway, Commandant of the Marine Corps and LtGen Ronald S. Coleman, Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs
The Marine Corps Association Foundation Annual Dinner: Hosted by The Marine Corps Association Foundation, the MCAF Annual dinners feature a prominent guest speaker and provide a forum for addressing topical issues of importance to national security. Past guests have included Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates and Deputy Secretary of Defense, Gordon England. This year's speaker is General David H. Petraeus, USA, Commander U.S. Central Command.
As with all MCA sponsored events, the dinner provides an excellent opportunity for Marines of all ranks to meet with corporate sponsors, and others in the military community for an evening of education, networking, and most importantly, camaraderie. As with all MCA events, members attend at the member discount.
