We had a successful trip to Antietam last week and on behalf of AITB E I want to thank MCA for their support. This trip was truly unbelievable and there is no amount of time spent in discussion that could have replicated actually being on the battlefield. Being able to stand on the same grounds where so many perished and put yourself in their shoes trying to relive that day both tactically and emotionally was absolutely invaluable. This trip met all facets of leadership development and without MCA it would not have been possible. Thank you again.
MCAF News and Announcements
Less than one month to show Marines you care and make your pledge to the Combined Federal Campaign.
Deployments are full of intense action—and often hours of down time. Professional development through reading and access to a unit library is one way commanders keep their Marines engaged and challenged during stretches of waiting.
LCpl Charles V. VanGalder, from Rochester, Minnesota, was recognized with the award at the Oct. 11, 2013, Kilo Company graduation for 3d Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.
The 2/9 PME trip to Chancellorsville was made possible by a grant from the Marine Corps Association & Foundation. The MCA&F Commanders Forum Program provides funding to assist commanders in developing and providing forum opportunities specifically tailored to enhance their Marines’ and sailors’ knowledge of the operational matters from a historical, cultural or operational perspective.
This is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation which means that your support may qualify for tax deductions.
Your support will go to fund:
- Marine Excellence Awards Program (We are the LARGEST provider of awards for Marines in the World!)
- Commander's Forum Program (Professional Military Education discussions on operational, cultural and historical topics.)
- Commander's Professional Library Program (Containing the Commandant's Professional Reading List)
- Leatherneck and The Marine Corps Gazette for Wounded Marines
- Other important programs as requested by the Marine Corps
