Marine Mom Tera Singletary Takes Her Support for Marines to the Next Level
"What do Marines really understand? They don't care about words, they care about actions. . . The best way we can make a tribute to our Marines and attempt to pay that debt back is to do, because words are just words."
When Marine mom Tera Singletary, received the 2013 Year-End Challenge Donation Campaign in the mail from the Marine Corps Association Foundation (MCAF), she more than answered the challenge. Tera’s son PFC John A. Singletary recently graduated from Marine Corps recruit training at Parris Island, SC, and is currently training in Camp Pendleton, Calif., for his military occupational specialty.
“I wanted to make a monthly contribution,” said Singletary. “But I knew that there was more that I could do. We can’t repay Marines for what they have done, but at least we could try.”
