carnage fallen soul: Dreamwalker Anthony W. Shotwell, 2010-09 I started dreaming alot when I was around 8 years old. This would be around the time when most children are easily scared half to death with anything especially a bad dream. The story itself takes place in Lansing and Dimondale Michigan, the city where I grew up and spent a lot of time dreaming of life, love and of course monsters. There's a lot of history and spirituality involving the Native American heritage as well as some of my own small speculation where the Myans are concerned. The hero of this story starts out a boy and finds his way to becoming a man through the highly spiritual, violent and majical world of dreams. Along the way he learns his own family history and finds love in the most peculiar place. I hope you enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it for you. |

carnage fallen soul: Magical Consciousness Susan Greenwood, Erik D. Goodwyn, 2015-08-20 How does a mind think magically? The research documented in this book is one answer that allows the disciplines of anthropology and neurobiology to come together to reveal a largely hidden dynamic of magic. Magic gets to the very heart of some theoretical and methodological difficulties encountered in the social and natural sciences, especially to do with issues of rationality. This book examines magic head-on, not through its instrumental aspects but as an orientation of consciousness. Magical consciousness is affective, associative and synchronistic, shaped through individual experience within a particular environment. This work focuses on an in-depth case study using the anthropologist’s own experience gained through years of anthropological fieldwork with British practitioners of magic. As an ethnographic view, it is an intimate study of the way in which the cognitive architecture of a mind engages the emotions and imagination in a pattern of meanings related to childhood experiences, spiritual communications and the environment. Although the detail of the involvement in magical consciousness presented here is necessarily specific, the central tenets of modus operandi is common to magical thought in general, and can be applied to cross-cultural analyses to increase understanding of this ubiquitous human phenomenon. |

Farley, 2019-08-19 On ending up in a too familiar situation after years of emotional and physical pain, I began searching for answers as to why all these difficulties kept happening. It was at this life threatening time that I was first approached by the energy vibration of the four archangels. Due to the fact I had always seen spirits as physical people, I didn’t believe the angels instructions, but after another very special visitation where they showed themselves to me — which is no easy feat for them,— I agreed to write their words; and that’s how this book manifested. As I wrote, my life began to make sense, which now enables me to live with more awareness of what part I have to play in my soul’s journey opening my eyes to wonderful new possibilities. So give yourself permission to engage with the timeless angelic knowledge that will enable you to encounter a freedom never felt or known before. |

carnage fallen soul: The Ladies' Repository , 1857 The idea of this women's magazine originated with Samuel Williams, a Cincinnati Methodist, who thought that Christian women needed a magazine less worldly than Godey's Lady's Book and Snowden's Lady's Companion. Written largely by ministers, this exceptionally well-printed little magazine contained well-written essays of a moral character, plenty of poetry, articles on historical and scientific matters, and book reviews. Among western writers were Alice Cary, who contributed over a hundred sketches and poems, her sister Phoebe Cary, Otway Curry, Moncure D. Conway, and Joshua R. Giddings; and New England contributors included Mrs. Lydia Sigourney, Hannah F. Gould, and Julia C.R Dorr. By 1851, each issue published a peice of music and two steel plates, usually landscapes or portraits. When Davis E. Clark took over the editorship in 1853, the magazine became brighter and attained a circulation of 40,000. Unlike his predecessors, Clark included fictional pieces and made the Repository a magazine for the whole family. After the war it began to decline and in 1876 was replaced by the National Repository. The Ladies' Repository was an excellent representative of the Methodist mind and heart. Its essays, sketches, and poems, its good steel engravings, and its moral tone gave it a charm all its own. -- Cf. American periodicals, 1741-1900. |
